David Whitfield Cunningham served with honor in the 33rd Mississippi Infantry.  He first met his Uncle Ebenezer Cunningham while traveling with his unit through Cherokee County, AL
John Erskin Cunningham served with honor in the 19th Alabama Regiment.
Isaac Moore Cunningham served with honor in the 19th Alabama Regiment where he was wounded in the face at Missionary Ridge and badly scarred.
James Hardy Canant served with honor in the 55th Albama Infantry until released for Teamster Duty
